OK, I bet it comes to no surprise that the Internet will explode with covers of any Daft Punk song released from now on. After the humongous attention around the their track "Get Lucky", it is logical to have ourselves a fresh out of the oven cover, which turns the original upside down. Luckily for us, the listeners, that's no one else but Daughter.
When I just first heard the song I really didn't know what to think. I was not sure if I liked it or not because it’s just so different from the funky original. But then I realized that probably it shouldn't be treated as a cover, but as something new and unique. The song is not that cheerful anymore and way more mellow and somewhat darker, which doesn't make it worse at all. I have a feeling that everything Daughter touches lately is pure gold.
