Today we get a taste of daste.'s upcoming sophomore album which is set for release in February, thanks to a lush, heartwarming new single titled "River".
The song employs influences from alt-r&b, indie, and experimental music, fusing sounds that radiate sensual peace. The trio elaborates, "River was a really rich collaborative experience. We spent a few days in the hinterland behind Yamba in New South Wales and were lucky to be joined by our good friends Aidan Rahman and Jess Cameron. They came through on our second day, and we immediately got stuck into jamming. Once we had the first chord progression down, we all sat around the living room, bouncing melodies and lyrics off each other until the skeleton of the song was finally formed. We knew we’d landed on something special—both in sound and meaning."
Just in time ahead of the few chill weeks ahead of us.
