Daniel Wilson has done it again. I've already been talking about how mature his sound is in my last post, but also now I see how varied his sound is.
Everything about "Sinner Of The Week" screams 80's and I love it. Pop music is not exactly unique these days and something like this feels like a breath of fresh air. The track is funky, groovy and very well-produced. All of that with Wilson's dominating falsetto vocals has definitely created an ear candy.
The message of the song is beautiful as well:
"The song is about freedom and living in your truth, even when it's all too much and the pain doesn't seem worth it anymore. Learning to love yourself. Finding people who will love and accept you fully, without condescension.”
