Out today on Philos Records is Daily Bread's first 18-track double LP entitled On The Daily, which tells a unique story of an Atlanta musician's life on the road the past years.
On The Daily is a décollage of live instrumentation and vinyl samples designed to sound like a postcard looks. It's a 60 minute melting pot of my collective influences from the past three years – both places and people.
"A Long Way From Home" brings the bump to the back country with a blues-electronic-hiphop fusion using a clean assembly of instrumentation, vintage sample, and deep synth work. Multi-genre, multi-instrumental works like this are what you'll find throughout On The Daily often times featuring some type of collaboration.
On the collaboration for this one is Justin Hasting of livetronica band Zoogma, who worked together through one single night to record the slide guitar in this track along with Daily Bread. The result is a layer of emotional blues stimulated by a bossy beat to lend us a bold sense of adventure to our moments.
