After featuring CRi's "Never Really Get There" towards the end of last year, I decided to explore the whole Juvenile release and it quickly became my go-to powerhouse during the holidays.
Released via one of my favorite labels - Anjunadeep, the 11-track LP is a wonderful dance-driven sonic experience for people who don't necessarily like to dance. I picked to feature "Friends In Secret" which weirdly reminds me of the work of Caribou, but somehow darker. The Montréal artist is one of the most and I think he deserves a lot more attention than he currently receives.
What I love the most about "Friends In Secrets" is the subtle build-up that CRi masterfully channels throughout the composition. No drops, no flashy distractions - just a fluid journey for the rave partition in each of us.
