Here comes one of my fav finds lately.
Common Saints are like blending Bill Withers or Fleetwood Mac with Khruangbin vibes. Sounds wonderful, right? It is a UK psychedelic soul project, started by Charlie J Perry, a producer who's worked with the likes of Jorja Smith & Maverick Sabre.
"Idol Eyes" is a great example of their dreamy, cinematic, and warm sound. The song explores the concept of utopia and delves into some of the fundamental drives of humanity. It also aims to remind us we should stick together and that we are all merely floating through space on a rock.
It is actually their first-ever official release from back in 2020. But this year, they dropped their debut Cinema 3000 which is a must-experience sonic trip (also available on vinyl).
