While this song has been released a while back, I've just discovered its pretty bizarre and really haunting effect on me. As I said to the person responsible for this post, it's been a while since I felt so much peculiar joy of finding a new song. The kind of thrill which always made me push this project further.
So, Clams Casino or Michael Volpe is an American hip hop producer (he has worked with Lil B, Mac Miller and so on) has been doing something called cloud rap. I've seen the term before, but had never figured out what it means. If that helps you out, here's some wiki...
Cloud rap (also known as Trillwave) whose distinguishing features include ethereal, dreamlike beats (which often use wordless vocal samples, wherein singers harmonize or hold long notes, to produce a majestic effect) and abstracted, sometimes deliberately absurd, lyrics.
Absolutely staggering and liberating.
I know maybe many of you end up here looking for the lyrics of the track, but actually... that's gonna be quite impossible. Why? Well, "I'm The Devil" is his song "I'm God", played backwards. Yep.
