Time to bring back an old familiar name. Chris Savor's new single "Some Things Don't Matter" is a beautiful electronic curve-ball. Starting off as mindful electronica, the composition turns into the perfect morning rave closing track. Needless to say - a perfect addition to our Essential Electronica collection.
Chris used to produce tracks for Leave To Remain - a musical by Bloc Party's Kele Okereke. Besides producing, he's also singing on the record. I must say - the vocal chops add an element of calm and mystery.
I made this track during a good week after spending a lot of time outside and the words that just came out were 'some things don't matter'. I felt at peace and let go of the other stresses that were happening because I felt lucky to be in this beautiful world. I oscillate between this feeling of gratitude, to feeling overwhelmed by our crazy situation, and I hope this track can remind me to stay on the good side of things.
3 minutes and 48 seconds of utter excitement.
