I am so so happy that Che Faker returned as Chet Faker. I always felt like he sounded better as Chet Faker, so this is now proving the point.
"It's Not You" is this sweet groovy tune with a solid bass line and delicate synths. This is also a very good showcase of Nick Murphy' vocals, thinking specifically of his falsetto and overall mellow vibe of the vocal. To be honest, that's everything I wanted as his last release before his album drops already tomorrow (omg yay). The song is just so Chet Faker, but at the same time a very grown up Chet Faker. Hotel Surrender is out tomorrow and if this ain't the first thing I'm listening to when I wake up.
