I always find myself surprised when Chet Faker brings out a new track. It feels like "No DIggity" only came out the other day when in reality, Chet has been something of a mainstay in my headphones for quite some time.
What's not surprising though, is the continuity of brilliance in his tracks. "1998" is the second track to be released from his début album Built On Glass which dropped last week. The track is trademark Faker, with his signature, drawling voice taking prominence over the rolling and trippy synths beneath. Chet Faker aficionados are going to lap this one up, and it's a great gateway for those less familiar with his work. Either way, it's a great tune.
