Few weeks ago Mike shared with me the world of Westwood Recordings - a home of some of the best funkstep producers out there. The guys who create the best kind of music to liven up any party out there.

As I was digging into their releases, I stumbled into The Remixes's release for Cheshire's 2017 release Smokescreens & Somersaults and I pretty much fell in love from the first kick. There's so much amazing re-do's in this album, it's mental. I chose to kick off with the new version of album's title track, crafted by Canadian electronic/funk producer Flavours.

THE GROOVE ON THIS ONE IS JUST SO GOOD I NEED TO WRITE IN ALL-CAPS.

On a serious note, pretty much the best Monday morning power-up track. Mixing stuff like classic soul & funk to heavy kick-bass patterns, this is  your sword to defeating the early week blues.
