I really hope I'm not the only person hearing late 90s/early 2000's R&B within the guitar riff at the beginning of the track. That may be far from the influence although the soulful nature of "Bushido" is certainly reminiscent of that period.
The thick layers of pad provide quite an atmospheric touch, particularly within the chorus since their role transforms into one that is uplifting, similarly to the flute which graciously arrives near the end. It's literally the same guitar riff which is present throughout the whole track although the manner Cheap Monk has gone about decorating the stereo field with a range of fascinating elements truly makes this an engaging listening experience.
