Our colleague Lu is the one who found Carrie Baxter back in 2019 (with her "Lady") but I turned into a fan immediately. The Irish singer/songwriter has some of the most beautiful & warm vocals out there. And you'll find out what I'm talking about in her new release Keep Swimming EP.
After a burnout in 2022, Carrie is back in 2024 with the 4-track project exploring her vulnerabilities & her evolution as a songwriter. The focus single "In The Morning" is a tribute to one of her idols & main influences - Erykah Badu. "The song is about meeting someone that you connect with instantly… that connection of energy that you feel maybe you’ve known before without explanation."
