Carlita continues to tease the release of her much-anticipated debut album Sentimental with the colorful new gem "Trouble Symphony" featuring DJ Tennis.
This time last year, I discovered the work of Carlita and she instantly became my favorite producer. Throughout the release of her singles, she has showcased how she tastefully pulls from a wide variety of genres, and on "Trouble Symphony" we're welcome to a vibrant mixture of Latin American influences, indie dance, and house. Floating over these fun melodic embellishments is a comforting vocal performance that acts as a smooth, calming contrast to the lively rhythm section. In many ways, this reminds me of the Plastic Beach era of Gorillaz.
