We're days away from Butcher Brown's highly anticipated Letters From The Atlantic, which is expected to drop this Friday, March 28th.

The Richmond jazz-fusion 5-piece were kind enough to give us another taste of what's coming up thanks to a wonderful collaboration with Brooklyn-based singer and actress Melanie Charles called "Unwind". I love the dynamics and endless energy on the track and how effortlessly the powerful drums thread through the elements of fusion, jazz, and funk music. I have to say, the flute was simply the cherry on top and a perfect element to introduce listeners to Melanie's unique and multi-dimensional vocals. The singer has a strong connection to her Haitian roots, which, paired with Butcher Brown's limitless abilities, makes for quite the explosion.

The band announced the single with a wonderful message on their Instagram, "When Melanie sent her vocals back on "Unwind," we instantly knew this would be the single. She effortlessly captured that early Y2K aesthetic and took it over the top with some incredible flute work. This is pure artistry at its finest. Thank you, Melanie, for staying true to yourself and pouring so much love and conviction into this song!"

This is pure artistry at its finest. Couldn't have said it any better.
