Honestly within the first moments of the Bronze Whale's "Slowing Down" I was pretty much ready to dismiss it as it came across as one of those “summer-feel-good” commercial tracks, but the drop changed everything… including my perception.
I truly enjoyed the soulful vocal melodies during the chorus and the drums had a beautiful bounce to it throughout the whole track. In it’s entirety the track does give off ‘summer vibes’ and the repetition of “we’re just slowing down” certainly amplifies that when you think of the summer heat.
The energetic synths on here play a massive role in providing movement to the track, and the touch of guitar decorated with reverb created a bit more of a dramatic feel particularly in the second bridge. Overall, this is a great track to warm up a party or even pick up your mood.
