The first thing that snatched my attention about Brino's newest release "Nova.Wav" was his confident and raw vocal delivery - it honestly makes his lyricism all the more convincing.

Brino is a Chicago-based artist who has been making music since 2018. Interestingly enough, his tone reminds me a lot of late 2020's era Mick Jenkins who is also from Chicago and we can hear the influence. In "Nova.Wav" Brino details the things that he cherishes within his world and the struggles he's had to endure to not only stay alive but to also keep his dreams alive. I love how he has managed to deliver 2 hard and raw verses over an instrumental laced with smooth guitars and a soulful influence - it's this stellar contrast that gives the track a distinct touch.
