As always, Japanese producer / live artist Ryunosuke Hayashi a.k.a. boys be kko delivers impeccable synth-driven electronica that's going to make any stiff body out there move them bones.
"wake upipo" is taken from forthcoming HENSA album, schedule for release via Atomnation - the home of his previous 3 EPs. The track carries Ryunosuke's playful eccentric-ness and while it kicks with a proper hard-hitter hi-hats and wobbly dark synth, it quickly belts out into a rather positive side of things. What I appreciate about the track, besides the beautifully positioned choir vocals, is the ever-changing vibe of "wake upipo".
When it comes to HENSA, we can expect to find him expand on his always emotive, clean and futuristic fusion of house, disco and melodic techno in alluring new ways. "wake upipo" is definitely a proof of that.
Fun fact about boys be kk - he co-runs the Kids Return label, design studio and event brand. An active person to say the least... I guess it's no wonder how inspiring and empowering his music is.
