My Time

Boyan and Lina Nikol are no strangers to the fox audience - both together ("Kolko Malko") and separately. The flawless instrumentals, carefully crafted by the Bulgarian producer, and the sultry, effortless vocals of the Sofia-based singer/songwriter are the reason we're in love with their music. And today we're super excited to announce their mutual single via Stereofox Records - "My Time".

Last week we presented you with "Morning With Her" - Boyan's first release with us, part of the 4-track chillhop EP Colors of Heaven. When putting it together, one track somehow stood out – it felt to him like it could use soulful & emotive vocals. And his long-time collaborator Lina was the obvious choice. She shares:

One day, while working in the studio, Boyan just told me he’ll send me a demo of “My time” if I wanna try out some vocals.  I was kind of on a Jill Scott, Ledisi, Erykah Badu vibe at that time, listening to whole albums, and when I heard the instrumental it came so naturally to lay down the vocals. I think you can sense the influence, but that’s the magic of music, we are all influenced by so many great artists and create our own signature.

And then "My Time" was born. The rich soulful production, topped up with her sweet runs, make for an absolute r&b perfection.
