Perth-based electronic artist Boy In Nature and his powerful breakbeat/UK garage sound are something that hits differently. We found him a few months back and he was an instant fit for our alternative dancefloor playlist. I've been watching his live DJ performances and the energy exhaling (at least on screen) seems infectious! Inspired by the works of. Jon Hopkins, Floating Points, and Four Tet, Josh seems to be unstoppable when it comes to pushing the boundaries of experimentation.
What I love the most about "Sometimes It's Mineral" is the right amount of glitchy-ness engraved in the track - he maintains the solid dance direction allowing this to be a club banger but has enough of that Four Tet weirdness in it.
