Yesterday was a weird day, no matter what song I listened to it just did affect me the way music usually does, even my favourite songs. All the tracks felt just slightly dull, which is dreadful, I know! And it made me really sad. Then "Goodnight Moon" by Boogie Belgique came on and the crisis was averted.
So, I join the major consensus in agreeing that electro-swing can be awful, and sometimes just plain annoying, however, Boogie Belgique always manage to find the perfect balance. "Goodnight Moon" is a beautiful melancholic story, and the use of the delicate samples needs to be applauded. Their whole album Volta is an epic one, which I highly recommend checking out if ya haven´t already.
