A few weeks after dropping "ATK", Bonobo shares yet another mesmerizing electronic fairy tale, a piece of whatever next he's having in store for us. To be honest, the news of the single came out of the blue for me. I randomly saw the announcement on Ninja Tune's Twitter and rushed to open WordPress and share this.

I am utterly impressed - it seems his LP Fragments and the ongoing world tour are not depleting his creative energy.

"Defender" kicks off with a dope tribal percussion pattern and chants before it slowly belts out and evolves into a powerful and almighty electronica-progressive masterpiece. I just love how smoothly he layers instrument after instrument in his music. In this way, listeners can carefully get to know all the small details that comprise the composition.
