This morning feels so far away. I woke up and saw one of the places I visited in Colombia posted a new promo video (which pretty much sums up the awesomeness surround it) and I fell in love with the music used in the video. In all fairness, I've heard Bomba Estéreo's "Mar (Lo Que Siento)" back when their album Amanecer came out in 2015, but I have to say I truly got obsessed with their sound during my Colombian adventure last month.
Fun fact - Bomba Estéreo's singer Liliana "Li" Saumet is the wife of the owner of Costeno Beach (the hostel we stayed at during our trip). Absolutely amazing band if you're into the whole indie / electronica dance vibe and haven't heard of them, you need to jump on that bandwagon.
The guys are often described as "tropical electro" or "psychedelic cumbia", which is a is a folkloric genre and dance from Colombia. Whatever the label is, I love the out-of-the-box sound these guys craft. It's like a shortcut to happiness every single time.
