A few weeks ago Nasko shared with you Blue Lab Beats' fire-y "Hi There" and now I'm stoked to carry on the torch. Jazz, hip-hop and electronica lovers... mark my words - you'll be extremely happy after hitting that play button.
Their new track "Lipstick" featuring Jodie Abacus is a perfect combo of synth feels, tight beats and soul perfection. Taken off his new Vibe Central EP, the UK-based duo absolutely solidify their spot in our hearts. Definitely one of my favourite discoveries in the scene this year.
For those curious about the story behind Blue Lab Beats, NK-OK and Mr DM first met as teenagers at Tomorrow’s Warrior– a jazz-focused community initiative whose hub at the Royal Festival Hall has nurtured many of the artists on the burgeoning London scene. There's nothing but greatness ahead of those guys and we're excited to follow their journey.
