blackwave. a.k.a Jay Atohoun and Willem Ardui met online a couple of years ago and here comes the inspiration for "cracked screen" which describes how you can be totally swallowed by the internet world. A world Williem has been living in - behind his own cracked screen.
It evolved into a track about all these different aspects of idolization both from the perspective of idolizing as well as being idolized. It’s about the fronts we tend to put up on the internet, and the moment those fronts start to shatter in front of you.
For this masterful storytelling, they called the rapper Lute to join them and now we have а soulful bop we keep playing on repeat.
