You know when you have an easy task featuring a track when the original is by Bill Withers and the re-do by Mona Vale.
So, what do we have here? Well, basically a shortcut to happier, groovier times. A track, perfectly bridging 70's classic soul vibes and today's upbeat house/groove music.
I first stumbled upon the music of Jamie when he remixed Fakear & Andreya Triana's "Light Bullet" at the end of last year and that was enough of a reason to put him on my "to watch for" lists. I guess this edit of "Grandma's Hands" verifies my theory. The London-based producer adds just the right amount of house elements to the original and then wraps the whole thing with a layer of edgy groove. Not sure about you, but I'm definitely adding this to my groove playlist!
