Brighton-born, Leeds based multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist Bert draws on a plethora of musical inspiration, inner monologue and personal experience for his debut EP It’s all gd, dw. The 8-track releases is a blend of warming, and charismatic sounds infusing hip hop, folk, soul, jazz & more.
The journey is as diverse as his inspirations - the artists lists artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Sylvan Esso, Laura Marling, and Kevin Abstract, as main guiding points for its creation. His natural tone and blasé, matter-of-fact delivery are accompanied by self-production and instrumentals, effortlessly spinning catchy choruses and drawing the listener close into his sometimes poignant yet innocently relatable narrative.
