Searching through videos and past releases, I find it so hard to believe that the spectacular Bear's Den haven't already taken the world by storm. I first heard of the guys a little earlier this year, late to the party as ever, when they were set to play The Great Escape festival in Brighton. Unfortunately I ended up missing them (thanks, life) and it stands as one of the worst missed chances of my 2013. The first time I heard 'Pompeii', I'm not ashamed to admit I nearly cried. The Bear's Den boys have a way of writing incredibly deep and personal lyrics. They're sort of like Mumford & Sons. But completely underrated. And not shit.
So we arrive at the brand new track 'Sahara' which by all intents and purposes, is a phenomenally honest and heartbreaking track. It is the first release off their hotly anticipated forthcoming EP, Without/Within. For best effects, listen to it staring wistfully at the sea on a crisp Autumn afternoon, and you'll immediately know what all the fuss is about.
