This is not a new track per se, but one which occupied so much of my listening time lately, I simply can't let slide.
New Zealand producer BAYNK has been at the forefront of dance electronica for the past few years, but if this is the first time you stumble upon his work, "HIGH" is definitely a great place to start your journey.
Built around a chopped vocal sample which remains rather consistent throughout the track, "HIGH" is taking its sweet time in the beginning before it emerges out of its cocoon. I love the percussion pattern and the echoing drums - the true groovy foundations of the track. There's something incredible inspiring about the tune. BAYNK is a true virtuoso when it comes to crafting vibrant and lush sonic textures.
This one will leave you breathless.
