I've been listening to Banks for a while and based on where I come music-wise and my scarce observations on the whole soul/pop/electronic scene I would say that this gorgeous girl has managed flawlessly to take the best out of her captivating voice and channel it in the exact direction she should be going. I am saying this because I feel that with a voice like hers, she could have easily gone to a more ...dissatisfying sound (for my taste).
Today we're listening to her ethereal, slightly poetic out-of-this-world cover of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes". You should definitely be on the lookout for that name, I feel that there are a lot of great stuff ahead of the LA singer.
