Free Whenever’s philosophy is rooted in long-form improvisation, blending vintage psychedelia, dub reggae, eastern modality, and African rhythms into a synesthetic sound experience. Founders Neil Guleria and Trevor LaVecchia started recording in their Brooklyn apartment in 2020, with LaVecchia's chordal movements on bass and Guleria's melodic, atmospheric layers.
