Ego Ella May (pronounced "eh-go") is a British-Nigerian singer-songwriter from Croydon whose genre-blending sound weaves together R&B, neo-soul, and contemporary jazz. She earned widespread acclaim for her emotionally rich and introspective songwriting, especially on her 2020 album Honey for Wounds, which garnered her the 2020 MOBO Award for Best Jazz Act and 2021’s Vocalist of the Year at the Jazz FM Awards.
