Astronauts, Etc. was the initial project of trained classical musician Anthony Ferraro although is now a 5 piece music group expert in creating melodic indie tunes. While studying classical music at UC Berkeley Ferraro had a drive for something different and dropped out leading him to create his then bedroom project Astronauts Etc. In 2012 they dropped the single Mystery Colors and Coldboy, followed by their first official Sadie EP. Astronauts, etc.'s 2015 album Mind Out Wandering comes across as a true discovery of their sound. Ferraro's introduction into the world of popular music was initiated through the meeting of Chaz Bundick of Toro Y Moi in 2012, they struck up a creative friendship which resulted in Ferraro touring with Bundick.
