The first time I saw Postcards live was in an intimate, romantically lit little room above a busy bar in Brighton. The capacity crowd had taken to sitting on the floor aiding to the cozy, living room style of the gig. What struck me most was how this four piece indie folk band from Lebanon could have attracted so much buzz and a dedicated swathe of fans half a world away from home. As soon as the guys started playing though, it became immediately apparent how their charming brand of East meets West folk music could have captured the hearts and ears of so many.
After a whirlwind 2014 touring the UK (including a slot at the rapidly upcoming Wilderness festival), and an incredible slot supporting folk icon Beirut in their hometown of Beirut, we're lucky enough to bring you the premiere for their brand new video of fresh track "Where The Wild Ones".
The subtle melancholy of the tracks verse is immediately ballasted by the hopeful choral hook, providing an abundance of layers to unpack. Coupled with the beautifully dystopian imagery of the video, "Where The Wild Ones Go" is an absolute gem of folk music.
