New York-based producer, label boss, and general music head Sam Obey aka Obey City released his Merlot Sounds EP earlier this year.
The standout track from the EP “Airy” featuring Kelela now gets the visual treatment.
The aptly titled track enchants and seduces with its Prince-like aesthetic as Kelela really shows off her incredibly unique and light vocals.
Though neither artist makes an appearance in the video, the Melissa Matos-directed visuals remain completely captivating. The grainy shots and low lighting create a very edgy visual as words dart across the bottom of the screen, but the words aren't song lyrics.
Shot surveillance style, the clip is a nice juxtaposition to the track’s soft nature; take a look up top!
