British artist Tahliah Debrett Barnett, who apparently people use to affectionately call "twigs", has established a delicate weirdness about her work, which seems to equally correspond to traditional R&B lovers and electro-dissidents alike. Moreover, her avant-garde approach to sound and visuals has raised the bar for popular music, injecting a fresh flow of artistry to the cultural mainstream.
Although "Good To Love" is one of her more melodic and radio-friendly tracks, it's also charged with peculiar subtle elements. Minimalist in sound and effects, the song is focused on twigs' high-pitched, girlish vocals and the deeply poetic lyrics, written by Tahliah and Lana Del Rey's lyricist Rick Nowels.
The video is basically an FKA twigs performance with a bed sheet in black-and-white. To be fair, the track sort of calls for similar sensual bedroom associations.
