If you’re plugged into the world of new R&B, you’ve heard about singer BOSCO. The Georgia-born artist has worked with producers like Treasure Fingers and NEVR, on her new single she hooks up with Sene from duo group denitia and sene. This new one continues to showcase the singer’s gorgeous tones as percussive clanks and bass heavy sounds give the track its dark and moody aesthetic.
The track explains BOSCO, "is about giving yourself to someone and only they had you in that way,”
The self-directed video which she pulled together with a small amount of money is unique, arresting and reaffirms an artistic talent that reaches beyond just music.
"The black and white sections of the video were inspired by Missy Elliot (Can’t Stand The Rain) and Michael Jackson (Scream). The other scene was inspired by Hype Williams (Belly). Beings that I am a 90s baby, I’m heavily influenced by this era- especially the shiny suit Puff Daddy and Mase vibe. Hype Williams was one of my favorite video directors and his signature angles that he was known for I aimed to capture that aesthetic.”
Check out “CAM4U”, and look out for BOSCO.
