Son Lux has been on the Fox radar for quite some time, so we clearly know how brilliantly innovative he is. This makes us monitor him with the severity of the high expectation and the good news is that he doesn't fail to deliver.

His latest release "Alternate World" has all the  Lux trademarks: multi-layered sound, flute arrangements, choral motives - but this time dialed way back, creating a seemingly relaxed tune. Still, underneath the calm and neat surface of "Alternate World" transpires the subtle neurosis of synth and bass, which culminates in the end, backed up by an obsessively repetitive chant.

The video for the track is made by another pair of Stereofox favorites, French director duo Truman & Cooper who, as we have seen in the past, are in the habit of turning music videos into short films. Their dissection of a passionate, yet destructive relationship, set in gray December Normandy, resonates to the bleak nostalgia of the track and the two create a fully dimensional  emotional effect.
