Copenhagen native Karen Marie Ørsted, a.k.a. MØ and her poker-faced dark cheerleader posse are as tough as ever, striking poses and swirling pony tails in her video for "Walk This Way". Directed by trendy short-film maker Emilie Rafael and styled by i-D magazine's fashion editor Jack Borkett, the clip resembles a low-saturated, high-valued photo shoot in a slightly depressing high-school.
The track is filled with the signature for the Danish artist throbbing synths, multiplied vocals and sugary beats, accompanied by obscure lyrics about youth, rebellion (or something along those lines). It comes out of her debut album No Mythologies to Follow, which is a yet another great display of how the unique, progressive Scandinavian perspective to pop redefines the genre.
