Sadly, I can't recall the last time I sat down with the conscious idea of just writing whatever comes to my mind when listening to music. I've always despised the idea of creating a numb and purely informative post while sharing a song, but months later, I realized this is sometimes inevitable. Especially when you aim to share as much good music as you could possibly find. So yeah, these things are a bit tricky.
That's why this post won't be much about the music. Moreover, I don't think Ben Howard's music need explanation. The one thing about this track - the transition from "Figure 8" to "Twice" by Little Dragon and the repetitive "twice I turned my back on you..." hit me really hard.
Performance like the one below is the sole reason why I have faith in music as a whole. Regardless of the direction of the industry, genre inter-collision, trends and what not, music will always be there as a soundtrack to our lives.
