Today is a strong day for female musician's releases. Just earlier I spoke about Marie Dahlstrom and now I'm realizing that Arlo Parks has dropped a new single "Impurities" as well. What a day!
Yet again, Arlo Parks' vocal is unmistakeable, and both tracks she has released in preparation for her new album release put a lot more focus on her vocals. While the production is interesting and the soundscape is always important, her voice is what really shines. Speaking of "Impurities", am I going crazy or is there a little bit of Japanese influence here?
"Impurities" is a song about her community, and finding peace and acceptance within that community. A really beautiful message there.
