We've been keeping taps on Arlo Parks ever since her first track "Cola" emerged and it's great to see the young Londoner evolve and change her sound with every new song. In the 2 years she has been on the scene, Arlo has always delivered nothing, but emotive and soul-alluring music.
Her latest release "Black Dog" is a wonderful venture into the world of acoustic music and while it carries some sort of romantic mellowness, there's a scene of positiveness throughout the whole composition. It also feels beautifully simplistic. Like the truly important things in life. They never need to be complicated.
I'd lick the grief right off your lips
You do your eyes like Robert Smith
Sometimes it seems like you won't survive this
And honestly it's terrifying
