Something that I find remarkable about this track is the beauty of its contrast. The vocals are so sweet and innocent, yet the lyrics are f***ing raw and borderline brazen.
Arlo Parks wrote "Angel's Song" when she was 16 and I feel as if "Angel" is a metaphor for death and to describe the person she is singing about. The minimalistic approach to the guitar works definitely places the spotlight on her stunning vocal performance. I can't neglect to mention the slight crackles embedded in the song as that provides the track with a layer of texture. This is one of those tracks which is generally accompanied by a drop of a tear, you may want to get a tissue before you hit play.
