It has been a while. The most emotionally drenched song I've heard in a such a long, long time. Three seconds in the track I felt my body being completely crushed by gravity and yeah - genuinely "locked" in the weird connection between the synapses forming my nerveous system and the sounds pouring out of my laptop. The closest to goosebumps I've ever been and I don't know why this song triggered such aftereffect.
The UK duo Aquilo seriously blew my mind. Don't forget that name because I'll definitely pay attention and share more of their music. The track is part of their just-released Human EP.
All this led me on researching why get goosebumps listening to music?
"The pleasure experience is driven by the "reward" chemical dopamine, which has been linked to addiction. It produces physical effects known as "chills" that cause changes in the skin's electrical conductance, heart rate, breathing and temperature. The responses correlate with the degree to which people rate the "pleasurability" of music."
