Influenced by the lush beats of J Dilla and the displaced drum rhythms of Questlove on D’Angelo’s Voodoo, „Too Close“ is an ode to Allan Low’s passion for oldschool hip hop. The song comes packed with fresh touches of contemporary r&b, delivered with a fragile yet determined falsetto and the golden tone of female jazz sax-player Charlotte Lang.
