Freddie Joachim, one of the guys running the San Francisco based Mellow Orange Music, is a producer originally hailing from Japan, who after listening to Hip Hop, Jazz and Soul became a DJ in 1996, and then slowly moved towards becoming a producer.
A lot of the material is available for free download via his soundcloud, and his easy listening, instrumental tracks can just be left to play over an afternoon. Here is his EP (also available for free!) - Dusted, a project comprised of sample beats made from randomly selected records found in Freddie's garage. "L & H" is my favourite on the EP. A really smooth track, enjoy Stereofoxers!
