Remember when I introduced you to the super catchy and fresh track "Disco Baby" by Demon Days?
Well, these amazing Perth-based Aussies have just released their debut EP called Magic Eye:
An amazing blend of jazz and neo-soul, each of those tracks has its unique addition to the EP. I'm not good at picking favourites, but somehow "I Can't See Magic Eyes" gets me tripping. However, I can't really set aside Bella's gorgeous voice, so if you're in a hurry, definitely play "6056" too.
The whole EP was recorded with and produced by the Hiatus Kaiyote's genius Nick Herrera.
And not to leave you in mistery, I know you've been wondering - why the magic eyes? Don't worry, Bella explains:
The name ‘Magic Eye’ stems from the books featuring autostereograms, allowing the viewer to diverge their eyes to see 3D images from a 2D page. Initially it came to us during our time in the studio, spending hours looking through these books, trying to see a lamb out of tiny dots. It’s also relevant to our music; filled with many aural layers, sub-meanings and motifs for you to find.
