After meticulously following Tycho's Weather Remixes release journey we've finally arrived at the highly anticipated date - the 18th of December. The labels backing up the Ninja Tune and Mom + Pop surely played it right. 6 out of the 8 remixes were spaced out a week apart, so starting early November fans had a constant stream of joy and anticipation. It kind of builds a habit, if I have to be honest.
The final artwork panel for "No Stress" remix. Been fun the past 6 weeks releasing these designs each week alongside remixes and merch. Thanks for following along!
One of my favorite things about Tycho, besides the sound, is the visual work and I must admit - I've been carefully checking what each of the 6 remix tracks came along with. Visually, I loved the "No Stress" and "Easy" the most, but I definitely appreciate how the whole thing flows together.
The is out now on all major streaming platforms.
Sonically, the remixes are way too different to compare. Each artist offers his unique vision on the original, and that's where the beauty of this collection lies. If you're into a more zen mood, then Christopher Willits' "Into The Woods" is the place to be. Com Truise's "No Stress" is by far the most futuristic of one, and in case you're feeling groovy - you can choose from quite the palette of upbeat electronica starting with Mild Minds and finishing with Nitemoves. I'm definitely going to be spinning the record for a while now.
A showcase of my personal obsession with Tycho and the race to feature each remix individually.
Stay up to date.
