August is branded as the laziest, most laid-back month of the year. And yet, amazing stuff happens - last Friday two fantastic artists dropped their new full-length albums. I'll get to the second one later, as we've gathered here specifically for the gorgeous Snoh Aalegra.
Snoh had me at "Sometimes" a while back and has been part of my all-time favourites ever since. Her FEELS killed it 2 years ago, especially with the instant classic "Nothing Burns Like The Cold" inside.
It's hard not to notice that she's apparently really into the feelings topic, because her new, follow-up album is called - Ugh, those feels again.
No guest artists here, which was a bit of a surprise, but she did a great job by herself anyways (with the help of here long-time producer No I.D., of course).
Obviously, the first few tracks are a blast, having her notable, smooth vibe, in both the instrumentals and the vocals. "I Want You Around" and "Situationship" have been out for a while now and they set the mood for the whole project very well - melancholic & romantic, but in a nostalgic way. And with a little hope on the side.
Stay up to date.

With love as the central topic of the album, she explores different stories, mainly focusing on break-ups, intimacy & falling in love over again.
"Find Someone Like You" will most-certainly become many couples' anthem with its classic soulful sound, followed up by the slow, mesmerizing "Toronto", while "Love Like That" is a bit more upbeat and optimistic.
From the second part, two tracks really made impression on me - "Nothing To Me", with its catchy beatwork & freshness, and the classic hip-hop cuts style (with a little bit of the Portishead note) of the last song "Peace".
Great album, must say. I didn't feel like skipping at any point - it goes smoothly, but the tracks vary, making it appealing and not boring at all. The songs take you on a pretty diverse trip through love, from Snoh's perspective.
After all, it's not only black and white, not only joy or sadness. - Ugh, those feels again has it all, just like life.
