Earlier today I mentioned the dudes from Soulection and now it's time to add another artist of their crew to our platform.
One thing before you start listening to Sam Gellaitry's Short Stories EP - expect the unexpected. Given the fact that I think we gather people with various music tastes, some of you may find the intro of kick-off track "Temple" a bit trappy, this dude is seriously full of awesome surprises. Somewhere in the mid of the tune the vibe switches completely for just a few seconds. I was at the office when I was first previewing the EP and it made me get up my chair seriously hyped about it.
I guess it also makes sense to point out that that's the first release from the young producer (yep, 18 years old) and I find absolutely impressive the ability to blend the whole r&b, trap, hip-hop and whatnot genres into just a few tracks. My personal highlight is "To Earth And Back", but I'm a sucker for such vocals, so I guess that was kinda expected.
In a short interview for Red Bull, Sam shares:
"The EP is a representation of an exciting turning point in my life, combined with my aims of taking the listener to as many different musical landscapes as possible. I wanted the outcome to be thought-provoking, and hopefully leave a lasting impression. That's why it's called 'Short Stories."
Hope you guys enjoy the EP as much as I did!
